What is SkinPen® Microneedling?

What you can expect:

Before the procedure:

Your provider will gently cleanse the skin and provide topical anesthesia to ensure a comfortable treatment experience.

During the procedure:

Once the numbing cream has taken effect your provider will gently pass the skinpen over the treatment areas. As the tiny needles create micro-channels in the skin, patients typically light pressure and a buzzing sensation to the skin with minimal discomfort. The procedure lasts about 25-30 minutes.

After the procedure:

Most patients notice slight redness in the treatment area, similar to a mild sunburn. We will apply a cool and calming bio-cellulose mask to help with the redness. Additional common treatment reactions include dryness, tightness and peeling. These typically subside within 24-72 hours. Makeup and sunscreen can be applied 24 hours after treatment.
